They were formerly known as Sea Dayaks during the colonial period. Ibans were renowned for practicing headhunting and tribal/territorial expansion. A long time ago, being a very strong and successful warring tribe, the Ibans were a much feared tribe in Borneo. They were known as the Iban language.
With the modern era of globalization and technology slowly influence the Iban community long gone days of headhunting and piracy. The Iban population is concentrated in Sarawak, Brunei, in the West Kalimantan region of Indonesia. They live in longhouses called rumah panjai or rumah panjang which only a handful of Ibans now live in it.
The Ibans today are becoming increasingly urbanized while retaining most of their traditional heritage and culture strongly. Iban women are known for their exotic beauty, especially those still living in longhouses, especially Saribas. The ones you find in urban areas are equally beautiful.
